Thomas Kalil, former Deputy Director at the White House, Office of Science and Technology Policy, joins Sherpa.ai as senior Advisor for Innovation

Sherpa.ai, a leading company in Artificial Intelligence services applied to data privacy, announced Thursday the signing of Thomas Kalil, former White House Director of Science and Technology Policy.

Kalil joins the Sherpa.ai team to help with major projects aimed at solving the challenges facing humanity. His addition demonstrates Sherpa.ai’s potential to solve important international problems with technologies such as Artificial Intelligence.

He is currently Director of Innovation at Schmidt Futures, an organisation founded by Eric Schmidt, former CEO and Chairman of Google, where he leads initiatives to solve societal challenges, improve science policy and identify and pursue the moonshots of the 21st century.

Thomas Kalil said, ‘Sherpa.ai’s Federated Learning platform will enable better data exchange between organisations, while maintaining trust, privacy and security.

In the coming weeks, Sherpa.ai is expected to announce a more advanced data privacy platform (Federated Learning) that the company has been researching and developing for years.

Through this platform, Sherpa.ai helps both companies and organisations to dramatically improve business outcomes or processes, ensuring compliance with current and future legislation, as well as ESG parameters such as carbon footprint reduction and data ethics.

Sherpa.ai’s team includes Tom Gruber, founder and CTO of Siri, who recently joined as Chief AI Strategy Officer, Thomas Kalil, former Director of Science and Technology Policy at the White House, Joanna Hoffman, former Chief Marketing Officer at Apple, and Doug Solomon, former Chief Strategy Officer at Apple.
